The reverse side of this photograph has affixed to it [glued] a piece of paper reading: "Elizabeth Prophet", "Head in Wood 19 1/2 in high".
When holding the photograph to a light source, additional writing can be seen underneath the glued top sheet. It reads as follows: "Over life size in wood 1940", "N. Elizabeth Prophet", "Spelman College", "Atlanta Georgia", "cap has been finished since photo was made".
The piece is said to be in the collection of the Howe/Lightbody Family. (Amaki, 164)
