Description
Anti-imperialist and anti-war message from Night Raiders as well as a call for civil disobedience. "Pax Americana -- Reward For Natives Who Submit Graveyard Peace For Those Who Don’t -- Civilizing the Shark -- The minnows have the shark on a hook. The shark will kill many minnows by the lashing of his tail, and he will lose much blood. But the minnows will not let shark off the hook until he is cured of his predatory habits. -- Preserve your moral balance when your government engages in criminal war: Exercise Daily In Civil Disobedience -- Be a “Night Raider” -- Use FANSHEN Stickers: 1331 P.O New Brunswick, N.J." Night Raiders is a group of U.S. political stickers from the '60s and ‘70s protesting the Vietnam War and U.S. imperialism, and calling for racial equality among blacks and whites. "Night Raiders" here may refer to military "night riders" and civilian vigilante "Knight Riders" of the Ku Klux Klan, as well as "freedom riders" during the U.S. civil rights era.

Notes
From a collection of ca. 1960s-‘70s gummed labels and stickers protesting the war in Vietnam and U.S. imperialism, and calling for racial equality among blacks and whites. Quoting several well-known political, military, and religious figures of the day (including Gen. M. B. Ridgeway; Senator Wayne Morse; Senator Frank Church; Senator George McGovern; Gen. Douglas MacArthur; U. Thant; Martin Luther King, Jr.; and President John C. Bennett, Union Theological Seminary, NY, the gummed labels and stickers came in a large envelope from PEACE PRODUCTS, J. S. Kennard, Jr. (Kendall Park, NJ) and addressed to Mr. James T. Wicke, Acting Secy., Human Relations Confrontation (Wasau, WI). Some of the stickers state, "Be a ‘night raider.' Use FAN-SHAN stickers"
