Description
Image of RASH members from the Stuttgart section holding their banner and lit road flares. The text on the bottom translates to "We Are All Antifascist!" As well as RASH logos flanking the title, the antifa logo with two flags can be seen on the right side of the sticker. The red flag represents socialism and the black flag represents anarchy. RASH stands for Red and Anarchist Skinheads. The organization was originally formed in the early 90s in New York City, with chapters eventually forming in other cities around the world, including Stuttgart, Germany. As their name suggests, the organization is anti-fascist in nature with part of their mission being dedicated to clarifying the true nature of the skinhead subculture, as news media has adopted the term as a synonym to describe white supremacists. RASH and associated groups like Skinheads Against Racial Prejudice (SHARP), define themselves heavily on fashion, music, and violent opposition to white supremacist organizations. Their style of dress typically incorporates Dr. Martens boots, jeans, suspenders, bomber and Harrington jackets, short hair, and clothing produced by Ben Sherman, Fred Perry, and Lionsdale. Musically, they are typically associated with punk, hardcore, oi, ska, reggae, and two-tone music genres.

Curator's Notes
Antifa members create propaganda (fliers, brochures, stickers) and organize rallies and demonstrations against far right, nationalist, and anti-Semitic activities and events. The original antifa logo of two waving red flags surrounded by a red circle was designed in 1932 by two German graphic artists, Max Kelison and Max Gebhart. At the time, the red flags represented the unity of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and the Communist Party of Germany (KPD). Since the 1980s, the antifa logo depicts two waving red and black flags surrounded by a red or black circle. The red flag represents socialism and communism, while the black flag represents anarchy, groups joined together against fascism. The flag logo has been modified by various groups to comment upon such issues as sexism, homophobia, racism, environmental degradation, capitalism, etc.
