Iberdrola claims to be a leader in renewable energy, but this image questions this claim, signified by the question mark on the leaf. The logo, IBERTROLA, with the “T” highlighted in red, highlights the word “trola” in the company’s name. In Spanish, “contar trolas” means to lie. The organization’s website features articles highlighting the wrongdoings of Iberdrola and the energy sector in general. The initiative highlighted in this sticker may be considered part of the broader anti-neoliberal sentiments that manifested themselves in 15-M, a Spanish movement beginning in 2011 that protested high-unemployment, neo-liberal policies, and poor electoral representation, and the establishment of the Podemos, the political party founded in 2014 to promote the sentiments of 15-M.

In the fall of 2014, St. Lawrence University students analyzed street art stickers from Spain for Dr. Marina Llorente's course Español 439: Literatura, cine y cultura de masas en la España contemporánea. This sticker was catalogued by Alexander DeParde '15.
