Bronze fu-dogs (W.314 & W.313) on far left in background. Probably a F. Barbedienne reproduction of Michelangelo's Captive Dying Greek Slave in the right background. Listed, Inventory, M.C.Thomas, Deanery, p. 16. Possibly lustreware ceramics on wall. The Deanery, originally a 5 room Victorian house on campus, was expanded first by Walter Cope in 1896 and later by Archer & Allen ca. 1906-1908 (46 rooms). The Deanery was used by the Alumnae Association from 1933 onwards until the building, deemed unsafe, was demolished in 1968, to make way for the Canaday Library.
